Boho Vintage Inspirations at The Art Gallery of Hamilton Design Annex
Theres nothing that inspires us more than collaborating with a fantastic group of talented individuals surrounded by beautiful details. The Design Annex is a fabulous location that is part of the Art Gallery of Hamilton and is located on James St N. This incredible space is brimming with character and offers everything you could ask for in a private setting for weddings, engagement parties and so much more. The location is host to an incredible retail store front full of interesting gifts, furniture and decor items while the back space offers an opportunity for gallery displays and private events for any occasion.
Warm hard wood floors and neutral walls welcome you to the gallery space which features a lovely brick accent wall. A beautiful harvest table set for 6 complete with our industrial metal chairs introduces you to the elegant bohemian style chosen for our theme. Exquisite florals from Sue Gallo Designs adorn the table in shades of ivory, golden champagne and blush pink.
Stationary, place cards and menu’s created by Jennifer and James, our friends at Quills carried the theme of our bohemian vintage style throughout the event. Keeping a very natural feel, invitations were printed on wood veneer that showcased the natural wood grain and complimented the rustic yet elegant elements.
Beautifully plated hors d’oeuvres from Niche Catering were set amongst the bar for all to enjoy. The flavours were simply amazing and the selection; a wonderful compliment.
The warmth and charm of a cozy lounge was designed to greet guests while encouraging them to kick back and relax. Set with two of the newest additions to Warehouse 84 lovingly known as ‘Lucy and Ricki’, the champagne 7′ vintage sofa and matching chair create an elegant and inviting area. Adding in a touch of character is our wooden trunk with black detail that takes on the roll of coffee table and conversation piece for the night. For the final touches we’ve added one of our vintage radios and camera to complete the design.
A bar complete with all of the trimmings make this area a personal favourite. Staged against the rustic crate backdrop from Warehouse 84 and embellished with a lush garland from Sue Gallo Designs, the simple dark wood table is just enough to invite guests to the party. And no bar would be complete without a creative menu artistically created by Quills
Vintage louvered doors touched with gold gilding provided the backdrop for the extraordinary custom cakes created by Sweet Celebrations. Our sweets table was an elegant round pedestal table accented with rustic crates and a gold framed chalk sign. Finishing touches; Charlene’s famous gold sprinkle donuts and delectable macaroons make this table a true delight.
This was truly a day full of creativity and inspiration captured perfectly by Alan from Alan C Lee Photography. Each and every person contributed their talents and time to create a stylized shoot that we hope you will enjoy as much as we did.
