Our Story

Here are the finer points in short, using my 5 favourite W’s to share insight into my little life story.

Who am I

I am a lover of nature, gardening, cooking and the finer things in life. I love working with my hands and can proudly say that I can go from workbooks to high heels in record time.

I’m also one of those rare women that gets excited about getting tools as gifts rather than jewelry for holidays and birthday presents.

What I Love

I am a mother of one beautiful and very athletic daughter who by the way is an amazing redhead like her momma. I am a wife to the most amazing and supportive husband and business partner that I couldn’t have dreamed up if I tried. I am a weekend warrior that loves to play hockey when I’m not on an event or entertaining friends and family and I am a bit of a homebody in that I am happy to kick up my feet and take in a deep breath right at home

Where Am I From

Raised in Fonthill and spending my teen years in Fenwick, my heart is always in the Niagara region. Now relocated just west of Ancaster only minutes from the 403 I am happy to say that our warehouse is situated on our private property midway between Niagara and Toronto making it convenient for our clients. Set in the country surrounded by lush forests and rolling hills I am lucky to travel only steps across the driveway to go to work.

When Did My Adventure Begin

Working in our friend’s flower shop since grade school, I quickly fell in love with flowers and continued my journey in College finishing my program in Horticulture and then floral design and merchandising. I returned years later to teach at Humber College as an alumnus and continued on to start my own consulting company specializing in visual merchandising and coaching for small businesses. Missing flowers I then returned to floral design as a freelance designer working with special events companies and wholesale markets until we started Warehouse 84.

Why I Do What I Do

I have always liked working with my hands and love building props, painting, upholstering and creating beautiful displays. Being in this creative industry for 20 years I thought it was time to combine my love of flowers and my love for display once again. Looking in the direction of weddings and special events I saw the need for additional decor options like furniture and tabletop rentals that would offer flexibility to clients creating their own style. Its an outlet for celebrating individuality as we design each unique element with our clients.
